Thinking about what crafts to make this Christmas? I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite things about the holidays is the crafts! You could even say that Christmas crafting is a bit of a tradition around here. From wreaths, to Christmas ornaments, and gifts, I love everything handmade for the holidays.
As you may already know, I rediscovered my love for embroidery during the lockdown earlier this year. You can read all about that in this post here. For me, embroidery is such a relaxing craft to do in the evenings. In fact, I fell in love with it so much that I started my own Etsy shop for embroidery patterns and planners. So today, I wanted to share these cute, new embroidery patterns that are now up in my Etsy shop. Let’s check them out!
“Trim the Tree” Pattern
This holiday pattern is bright and cheerful! It features three retro inspired Christmas ornaments with a bold outline. Metallic accents give the ornaments a hint of sparkle. The yellow French knots resemble Christmas lights in the background. A few star stitches are mixed in to resemble twinkling lights. This pattern is beginner friendly, using only a few simple stitches.
“Let it Snow” Pattern
This second pattern is a cozy winter wonderland! I choose a black flannel for the background to make it a cosy nighttime landscape. Any dark color, such as a navy or gray fabric will look great with this pattern too. I love how the white stitches pop against the black even though I only used 1 thread of embroidery floss. Again, this is a beginner friendly pattern, with only a few simple stitches.
Holiday Crafting is Upon Us!
Even though it’s only the beginning of November, it’s not too early to think about your holiday crafting. Especially if any of your crafts happen to be for gifts! So what holiday crafts do you have planned this year? Maybe some new embroidery? Remember to check out my Etsy shop to purchase these fun Christmas patterns today!
